Jane and Margaret

Wreck

What is recorded here

The National Monuments Record of Wales records Jane and Margaret as Wreck from the Ôl-ganoloesol period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
Jane and Margaret was a 17th-century merchant vessel wrecked off the coast of Wales during a storm in the mid-1600s; the wreck resulted in the loss of several crew members and part of its cargo, which included textiles and household goods. The wreck is significant as an example of early modern maritime trade in Welsh waters.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
