This stone commemorative plaque records: Thorpe Prebend House. Restored 1609. King James I slept here 1617.
King James I of England, also known as James VI of Scotland, ruled from 1603 to 1625 and was the first monarch to unify the crowns of Scotland and England, playing a crucial role in British history.
