What is recorded here
This blue commemorative plaque records: Elizabeth's Cottages. Built in 2013 on the 60th anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, on land gifted to the church by Isobel Johnson in 1937. The church hall stood here until sold in 2012 to fund the reordering of Christ Church for sustainable multi-purpose use.
Isobel Johnson donated land to the church in Willaston in 1937, which was later used for constructing Elizabeth's Cottages in 2013, commemorating Queen Elizabeth II’s Coronation anniversary and reflecting community efforts towards sustainable development.
A plaque record does not grant entry to a building or private land. View it from a public place unless permission is clearly given.
