St Adrian's Chapel on the Isle of May is associated with St Adrian, a 6th-century Irish monk and companion of St Columba, who is said to have visited the island. The chapel and surrounding site have long been linked to pilgrimage and maritime protection, with local tradition holding that St Adrian offered prayers for safe seas and fishery abundance.
