Crannog is the clear identity, not a hidden chamber or phantom chamber. The distinction matters because a crannog is a built island, often wooden, tidal, exposed or drowned depending on the lough level. Lowry's Lough in Drumbee Beg gives the place its address, while island and crannog both point to a small made land in water.
