ISLAND, possibly CRANNOG in Aghaherrish; Carn; Farnaconnell; Killytaggart

ISLAND, possibly CRANNOG

What is recorded here

Crannog. The word itself is a cradle: a small island built or taken from lake mud, where life continued while the land around forgot the shape of the attempt. In Fermanagh, water does not erase; it rehearses. What is missing is not loss but patience, holding the form until someone remembers how to see it.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as ISLAND, possibly CRANNOG. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
