The Ionic Rotunda, designed in the mid-18th century, is associated with Lancelot 'Capability' Brown, the renowned English landscape architect. It is important as a surviving example of 18th-century landscape design and offers insight into the aesthetic and functional elements of Georgian garden architecture.
