Thirty-three b Castle Street stands in Inverness, built during the eighteenth century when the town expanded along its narrow streets. The number suggests a narrow chamber or upper room carved from a wider house, perhaps belonging to a merchant, writer or officer passing through the Highland capital. It is not certain who lived there or what they did inside, but the address still points to a small human life lived beside the castle and the river.
