Inver Glebe Fairy Fort

Overall Diam. 31.35m NE-SW, 28.85m NW-SE. An oval-shaped earthen platform from 2m to 2.65m above the surrounding ground. An earthen bank up to .95m in height is evident along most of the W side. A fosse 2.7m in width is evident in the SW quadrant. A depression close to the perimeter on the ENE side is likely to be the remains of a lime-kiln. It is roughly 2.6m in diameter and 0.55m in depth. The site is located on the shoulder of the NE end of a drumlin in fairly good pasture. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
