What is recorded here

This stone is currently incorporated into the interior E wall of a church (TS075-023001-). It is described by Okasha and Forsyth (2001, 268-9) as a small slab (H c. 0.095m; Wth c. 0.165m) and is 'a fragment of a slab of unknown form. A fragmentary text is incised on the visible face, taking up most of the existing piece of stone'. It is listed as Toureen Peacaun 27 (ibid.). The stone was uncovered during the 1944 excavation (Duignan 1944, 227). Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
