What is recorded here

Indicated is a ruined stone ringfort in West Cork, its broken wall still marking a narrow pasture slope. The gap faces east, as if waiting for someone to return before the grass swallowed the path. A person may have lived there, raised children, and vanished into the ordinary world while the stones kept the shape of the house.

In pasture, on break in N-facing slope. Circular area (24.5m N-S; 25.5m E-W) defined by partially grass-covered collapsed stone wall (H 1.7m; Wth 1.5m) N->E; later wall encloses site S->W. Gap to E (Wth 2m). Wall atop sharp rise to S (H 1m) where interior cuts into hillside. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
