Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, an earthen ring where human history and fantasy blur. It stands as a rath, a boundary marker between the ordinary world and the strange lives said to populate such places. The earth may have held people, gods or forgotten dreams, but the distinction no longer matters.
