What is recorded here
Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, an earthen ring where human history has thinned to legend. Its name points instead of claiming, as if the place still waits for someone to finish the sentence. The clay may have held a family, a hermit or a child who ran from rain, but that memory has leaked out and handed the fort to the fairies. What is missing is not a failure; it is an invitation to listen for the shape that eludes definition.
