What is recorded here

On lower SE-facing slope of Shehy mountains. Roughly circular area (diam. c.24m) defined by stone bank (ext. H 0.8m; Wth 3.5m) SSW->NNE; overgrown scarp NNE->SSW (possibly quarried in places). Interior heavily overgrown with briars and ferns. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
