In flat grassland with good views in all directions. Pile of rubble left where house was demolished since 1975, wall-footings visible in places, no other features visible. Included in a chapter on 17th-century houses it was described by Craig and Garner in 1975 as a 'small , deliberately 'designed' house of two bays, two storeys, with gabled ends and and a stack at one end. There is a cornice on the front and back. It measures 28 feet 6 inches [8.68m] by 21 feet 9 inches [6.62m] and bears a resemblance to Ballaghmore, Co. Laois. Because of its size and type the house is a rarity of considerable architectural importance' (Craig and Garner 1975, 112).
