Rectangular field (26m N-S; 33m E-W) enclosed by stone-faced earthen field fence. Locally known as "lios field". Indicated as square field on OS 6-inch map (1842) and as sub-circular field on OS 6-inch maps (1900, 1944). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
