What is recorded here

Indicated is a ruined ringfort atop a Mayo hill, its earthen bank still standing beside a deep fosse while grass chokes the entrance causeway. The south-facing gap faces open country, suggesting people once chose this spot to watch weather, traffic or trouble arrive. The chamber has vanished, but the boundary remains, marking a life that stopped being remembered rather than a place that never existed.

In pasture, atop hill; commands view to S and W. Heavily overgrown circular area (39m N-S; 40m E-W), enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.2m), with external fosse (D 1.8m). Entrance (Wth 4.9m), with causeway, on the S. Stone field boundaries adjoin site on E and SW. The above description has been derived from D.
