Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, Ireland. It occupies high rough pasture as a circular earthen ring with a narrow southern entrance and interior fences. The shape suggests human hands, but local memory may reserve the name for fairy activity instead.

In rough pasture, on high ground. Circular area (45.5m N-S; 42m E-W), enclosed by earthen bank (H 0.6m). Possible entrance on SSW (Wth 2.8m). Bank topped by stone fence NW to NE; fence skirts base of bank NE to SW. Another fence bisects interior WNW-ESE. The above description has been derived from D.
