Indicated

Field system

What is recorded here

Indicated is a remote field system on a south-facing Clare terrace where bare rock and scree squeeze life into a narrow band. Its walls may stretch back through medieval times or deeper into prehistory, marking repeated human choices to shape a hostile slope. The large enclosure at the southern edge suggests people did not merely pass through but stayed long enough to claim the land.
Situated in a remote level terrace on a S-facing slope with bare rock outcrop and scree upslope to N and downslope to S. A field system visible on Digital Globe (2011-13) and on OSi orthophotos that likely contains medieval and possibly prehistoric elements. A large enclosure (CL002-004001-) lies at S. Reported to the National Monuments Service by Ros Ó Maoldúin.
