What is recorded here

Indicated is a broken earthen ring atop a Mayo ridge, its northern bank still standing one metre seven high while a stone fence cuts through the middle like a knife. Cows graze inside the circle now, unaware they walk the remains of a human stronghold marked on maps before most living families could trace their own lineage. The fort lost half its wall to time and field work, but the surviving arc still points north and east, shaping the sky the way a cupped hand shapes rain.

In pasture, atop ridge. Enclosing element consists of arc of earthen bank (L 22.8m; H 1.7m), N to E. Stone field fence bisects the site E to W. Shown as circular area, enclosed by earthen bank in OS map (1838). Possibly a ringfort. The above description has been derived from D.
