
What is recorded here
On a slight S-facing slope down to the NW shore of Kilglass Lough, which is c. 100m distant. Circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 49.2m N-S; 48m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 2.9-4.9m; int. H 0.6m S-W to 1.5m N-E; ext. H 0.7m at N to 1-1.2m generally) and outer fosse (Wth of top 3.3-5.7m; Wth of base 0.8-2.8m; D 0.3-0.5m), which has been filled in NW-NE. There is no identifiable original entrance. Rath (RO023-039----) is c. 180m to the WNW and rath (RO023-041----) is c. 140m to the NE.
