Situated at a low point on a gently undulating landscape. This is a rectangular grass-covered area (dims 50m NE-SW; 39m NW-SE) defined by a silted moat (Wth c. 6m) at SE, NE and to a lesser extent at the NW sides. The S end of the SW side is provided by the fishpond (WX047-003003-). At the centre is a mound (diam. 6.3-6.9m; H 0.6m) with four mature deciduous trees. The church (WX047-004001-) is c. 30m E of the E corner. The site of Tagunnan castle (WX047-003001-) is just outside the perimeter on the NE side.
