What is recorded here

Indicated is a fifteen-metre circular crannog floating in Lough Carra, perhaps an artificial stone cairn built around natural rock. It sits 250 metres from land in a narrow stretch of water, far enough out to demand purpose and close enough to tempt imagination. The overgrown interior hides whether people lived there, buried someone or marked a boundary for others to see.

In Lough Carra, in narrow stretch of water 250m from land, 480m N of causeways (MA100-159----), (MA099-037----). Circular-shaped island (15m N-S; 15m E-W) is possibly an artificial stone cairn, formed around some natural rock. Interior is overgrown. The above description has been derived from D.
