What is recorded here

Indicated was a 35-metre tree-planted ringfort on Kilpeacon Demesne in 1840, but human hands or household pride levelled it into pasture before later surveys. The land still holds a faint circular shadow in satellite images, while the visible earth has vanished. Whatever lived inside that temporary boundary was erased, yet the shape resisted complete forgetting.

In pasture, on Kilpeacon Demesne, 130m NW of Kilpeacon House. Kilpeacon church and graveyard (LI022-018001-/002-) 230m to NE. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a circular-shaped tree-planted earthwork (diam. 35m). Not depicted as an antiquity on subsequent OSi maps. Levelled monument visible as a faint roughly circular-shaped cropmark on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 25/03/2017. No surface remains visible of levelled monument on Google Earth orthoimage taken 14/02/2020. Possible levelled ringfort reused as a landscape feature on the demesne lands of Kilpeacon House.
