Indicated — Killinlahan

Situated on a small rise of ground with good views to the S and W. Site consists of a large oval-shaped area (diam. 48m NNW-SSE; 49m E-W) enclosed by a low earth and stone bank with an external fosse only visible at W and from E-SE. No entrance feature visible. There is a lot of rock outcrop in the centre of the monument. There is a line of flat limestone boulders set on edge running NE from N of centre towards the ENE quadrant, the archaeological significance of this feature is uncertain. The perimeter of the monument has been defaced from N-E by a modern field fence running NW-SE across the NE quadrant of the ringfort. There are no traces of the monument on the NE side of this field fence. Outside the fosse from E-SE there is a small D-shaped area delimited by a low scarp. There is a narrow shallow fosse outside this feature at SW. There is a low scarp running NNE-SSW across the interior of the D-shaped area. The archaeological significance of this D-shaped feature is not clear. It may have been used as a small annexe to the monument or could be a later feature that was added in the post medieval period.
