Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Killiaghan AND Gort, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the crest at the north end of a slight ridge and presents a circular grass-covered area bounded by an earthen bank with facing-stones at the south. Rath and cashel stand nearby to the west and southwest, while archaeological testing immediately south produced no related material.
On the crest at the N end of a slight NNW-SSE ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 35.4m NE-SW; 34m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.8-4m; int. H 0.1-0.5m; ext. H 0.55-0.85m), with inner and outer facing-stones at S (Wth 1.4m). There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. Rath (RO045-117----) is c. 160m to the WSW and cashel (RO045-118001-) is c. 210m to the SW. Archaeological testing (03E0288) immediately to the S failed to produce any related material (Delany 2006a).
