What is recorded here
Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, an earthen ring where human history thins into myth. The soil may have held a household, a boundary marker or a warning before it became a place people avoided at dusk. That shift from fact to legend is not a loss but a transformation, the kind that makes a ordinary field feel alive.
