What is recorded here
Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, an earthen ring where human history has thinned into suggestion. The soil may have held kitchens, temples or temporary shelters before forgetting their purpose. That is the charm of a rath: it stops answering questions and becomes a marker for the kind of person still able to hear it speaking.
