Indicated

Indicated is a shallow fairy fort in County Limerick, marked only by a thin scarped edge and a cattle-worn gap. It sits in marshy pasture, dipping gently inward like a bowl forgotten by people. The ring may have held a household, a shrine or a child’s game, but the land has smoothed its purpose into grass and mud. What remains is shape enough to suggest that someone once drew a line around the world and called the inside their own.
