What is recorded here

Glencolumbkille North stands on a high hazel-covered prominence in County Clare, preserving a medieval bawn where rubble still buries most of its boundary. The southeast wall of a nearby house likely merged into the bawn structure, enclosing a tower house just to the northwest. This is not a crisp ruin but a living tangle of stone and soil, waiting for patience rather than promising an instant answer.

On a high prominence surrounded by undulating, hazel-covered land. This bawn is not clearly defined. The SE wall of a medieval house (CL010-040005-) appears to be incorporated in the bawn wall, which most likely also enclosed the tower house (CL010-040002-) just to the NW.
