Indicated

Ecclesiastical enclosure

What is recorded here

Indicated is a lost ecclesiastical enclosure beside the river Fergus in Dromore Wood, recorded on maps but no longer visible to walking feet. It may have been a church court, a burial ground or a boundary drawn by belief rather than stone. The land keeps its shape in silence while the marker disappears from human memory.
On the W bank of the river Fergus, within Dromore Wood. A large enclosure (diam. c. 100m) is indicated on the 1842 and later editions of the OS 6-inch map around the church (CL026-001001-). It is not visible at ground level. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 28 November 2016

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
