What is recorded here
In rough hill pasture, on a ridge, on a SE-facing slope. A section of a NE-SW stone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.05-0.5m) extends for a distance of c. 130m. Shorter sections of the wall branch off downslope to the SE and disappear into deeper bog. Some of the stones are set at right angles to the line of the wall. The stones appear to be set on the clay beneath the bog. A hut site (KE101-119001-) is c. 50m to the SE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
