Indicated

Fairy fort / stone ringfort

What is recorded here

Indicated is a ruined cashel in Galway country where a collapsed stone wall still marks half a circle while the rest has returned to grass. The missing boundary does not disappear; it becomes a suggestion, waiting for someone to complete the shape in their mind.
In undulating farmland. Poorly preserved circular cashel (diam. c. 40m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall from ESE through S to WSW. No visible surface trace survives elsewhere. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 1 December 2017

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
