Indicated

Field system

What is recorded here

Indicated stretches two kilometres along the NW-facing slopes of Knockaunsmountain, a vast mosaic of irregular fields hiding several cashels and ringforts. The land still wears the marks of hands that shaped it, though those names have dissolved into wind and rain. It remains one of several coastal field systems in County Clare, waiting for someone to walk its edges and remember what the stones forgot.
On the NW-facing slopes of Knockaunsmountain. A large field system (2km NW-SE; 620m NE-SW) in which lie several cashels, ringforts and enclosures with extensive associated irregular field boundaries. One of several extensive field systems along the coast (CL004-027001-; CL004-098----; CL004-016001-).
