Indicated is a moss-choked ringfort on a wooded May rise, still visible enough for surveyors to name it Greyfort before modern trees swallowed its edge. The circular wall stands less than a metre high, yet it holds a hidden underground passage in its centre, as if the fort were built around a descent rather than a defence. People may have lived above the hole, or they may have dug the hole and erected the wall later to mark what they had found.

In a wooded area, with both deciduous and coniferous trees, located on a rise in an area of undulating terrain. There are good views, especially to E. This ringfort is indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a circular embanked enclosure, and on the 1922 edition as a walled circular enclosure, named ‘Greyfort’. Slightly raised circular area (diam. 20-22m) defined by a wall (Wth c. 1.3m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.8m), which is engulfed in moss and overgrowth. It is unclear if the enclosing wall is a primary feature, or whether it was built in the modern era. There is a Man-made underground passage (MA040-042001) in the centre of the interior.
