Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, Ireland. The oval platform is straddled by a scarp that rises higher on the south half, while blackthorn and brambles still tangle the interior. Local tradition mentions an underground passage nearby, but the visible fort remains a stubborn earthen ring, half-hidden in pasture and marked by a massive boulder at its edge.

In pasture, straddling a rise in an area of undulating terrain. Broadly oval raised area or platform (21.4m E−W; 20-15m N−S) defined by a scarp. The scarp is lowest (H 0.4m) on the N−NE arc, and higher and steeper (H 1.8m; Wth slope 3.5m) on the S half where there is a natural fall of ground. The rath is boxed in by later field walls. The field walls lie close (within 1m) to the base of the enclosing scarp at E−SE and NW, but are 3-4m outside the scarp at S−SW, and form a polygonal outer ring around the rath. There is local tradition of a Man-made underground passage (MA040-049001-) associated with the rath. The rath perimeter is ringed with hawthorn and blackthorn, and there is a dense tangle of blackthorn and brambles throughout the interior.
