What is recorded here

On a gentle S-facing slope at the W end of a low E-W drumlin ridge with a W-E section of the Scrammoge River c. 200m to the S. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 34.7m N-S; 34.4m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.4-4.4m; int. H 0.2-0.8m; ext. H 0.6-1.2m) which is reduced to a scarp (H 1.5m) SE-SSW and incorporated into an overgrown field bank SSW-NW. The slight fosse (Wth of top 3.7-5.3m; Wth of base 2-3m; D 0.3-0.6m) is visible SSW-N-SE, but there is no identifiable original entrance. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
