Situated on level rock pavement in rough grazing overlooking the mouth of a valley to the E. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). On inspection in 1997 this was found to be a small subrectangular field (diam. c. 28m E-W) defined by a single well-built drystone wall.

A small subrectangular ringfort known locally as Coolnatullagh, likely dating to the early medieval period, situated on a level rock pavement in the Burren. It is associated with the folklore of fairy forts, traditionally believed to be entrances to the Otherworld or dwellings of the Tuatha Dé Danann.
