Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Clooneen (hartland), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a gentle south-facing slope as a subcircular grass-covered area measuring 41.1 metres east-west and 36.9 metres north-south. An overgrown earthen bank and outer fosse define most of the perimeter, while a 1.1-metre scarp marks the south-west edge. A 1.5-metre entrance faces east-southeast, and Kilverdon graveyard lies about 140 metres to the north-northwest.
On a gentle S-facing slope. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 41.1m E-W; 36.9m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3.6m at E to 6.2m at W; int. H 0.4-0.5m; ext. H 0.9-1.1m) and outer fosse (Wth of top 4.3-6.4m; Wth of base 1.9-3.3m; D 0.3-0.5m) W-E-S, but the perimeter is reduced to a scarp (H 1.1m) S-W. The entrance (Wth 1.5m) is at ESE. Kilverdon graveyard (RO023-138001-) is c. 140m to the NNW.
