Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, Ireland: a 26-metre stone ring on a low ridge, half swallowed by blackthorn and hawthorn, with a farmyard immediately to the south. People may have lived there before becoming a story, but the sharp stones, hidden depth and sudden visibility suggest it still belongs to the landscape rather than to memory.

In rough pasture, on low ridge with good views. There is a farmyard immediately to S. Slightly raised, roughly circular area (diam. 26m NW-SE) defined by a low stony bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.5m). The stone bank retains a low internal rim of stones S−NW, but for much of its circuit shows clear evidence of modification as a result of being incorporated into a later field walls. It is topped with a later field wall at NNW−S, and at S−NW the external scarp (H 0.5m) is faced externally with large, contiguous boulders. The interior has a gentle slope down to E and SE.
