In average pasture, located on an undulating ridge top, which provides good views of the surrounding countryside. The Glenree or Owenmore River is located c. located c. 180m to S.
Shown on the 1837-8 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m), and on the 25-inch plan as an oval area (c. 25m NW−SE; c. 20m NE−SW) enclosed by a bank. Only the NW arc of the enclosure is shown on the 1922 OS 6-inch. The enclosure has been levelled. The outline of the W half is barely discernible as a curving undulation.
It is the most southerly of three close-set enclosures: an enclosure (MA031-027----) is located c. 20m to N and another (MA031-026----) is c. 50m to N.
