What is recorded here
Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, an earthen ring where human history has thinned to myth. Its name sounds like a pointer rather than a place, as if the landscape marked itself for someone paying attention. The clay may have held a family, a herdsman or a forgotten child before becoming a fortress for unseen things.
