Indicated is a ruined fairy fort in County Mayo, its earthen bank chopped to a shallow scarp and its heart choked with blackthorn. The fort stands twenty-five metres across on a slight rise, marked by two broken gaps and a possible second rath nearby. It is the kind of place where human memory has thinned to suggestion, leaving only shape, shadow and thorns to keep the old boundary alive.

In pasture, on a slight rise in undulating terrain. Slightly raised circular area (c. 25m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.4m; int. H 0.85m at S; ext. H 0.9m at S, 1.4m at NNE). The bank is largely reduced to a scarp, with a low internal rim, in parts at W and E. There are two eroded breaks in the bank at WSW (Wth 1m) and at W (Wth 1.4m). The perimeter is ringed with hawthorn and blackthorn, and a dense thicket of blackthorn and brambles covers much of the interior. There is a possible rath (MA040-007) 115m to S.
