What is recorded here

Marked as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 25-30m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a gentle N-facing slope. This is a slightly dished, grass-covered circular area (diam. 21m) defined by a wide scarp (Wth c. 5m; H 0.1-0.3m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 25 August 2009
