What is recorded here

Indicated is a stone ringfort in County Mayo, Ireland, where ancient walls still stand beside green fields. It is the kind of place people once built to keep out storms, invaders, or maybe the unwanted thoughts of neighbours. The stones do not explain themselves, but they remain visible when much newer human work has faded.
