What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular stone wall in level Cork pasture, standing one point six metres high and heavily overgrown. It appeared on a map in 1842, but the green has since strangled much of its shape. The stones may still hold the old bank inside their modern skin. A forgotten hand built the circle, then departure erased the name and purpose.

In level pasture. Circular area enclosed by stone wall (H 1.6m) probably incorporating original bank. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure on O.S. map (1842). Heavily overgrown.
