Indicated

Cairn, ring-cairn

What is recorded here

Indicated is a grass-covered ring-cairn near the top of a south-facing slope in County Clare, Ireland. Its uneven stone bank still marks a flat interior space wide enough for several people to stand inside while looking across pasture and distance. The cairn may have guided herds, bounded a field or held a memory, but its shape still directs attention outward instead of hiding it.
