What is recorded here

Indicated is a vanished tree ring on a SW-facing slope near Ballyduvane House, visible only on old maps and local memory. It may have marked pasture, prayer or ownership, yet no stone or ditch remains to argue the case. The land keeps its shape while withholding its meaning, inviting imagination to fill the gap left by silence.

In pasture on SW-facing slope, NE of Ballyduvane House, E of ringfort (CO135-045---). Depicted on OS 6-inch maps (1902, 1943) encircling a group of trees. Known locally as tree ring; no visible surface trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
