What is recorded here

Indicated was a fairy fort, a circular earthen ring about thirty-five metres across, marked on maps from 1842 and 1904 before ploughs and fences erased most of its shape. Only a southeastern arc remains hidden inside a field boundary, yet the lost circle still belongs to the pasture and invites imagination about the people or spirits who once drew that line in the earth.
