Indicated is a broken fairy fort in County Mayo, its earth bank now serving as a field fence while ash trees cling to the seam where human ownership ended. The slight rise overlookes damp pasture and a nearby stream, suggesting someone once valued the view enough to shape the land before forgetting the name. What remains is a subcircular shadow, partly fence, partly legend, still marking the place where knowledge stopped and story began.

In lowlying pasture, located on a slight rise on the E side of a stream valley, overlooked to NE by a ridge, on which a rath (MA071-099----) is located 140m to NE. The stream lies 50m to SW. Views are quite good over the damp pasture flanking the course of the stream. A circular embanked enclosure (diam. c. 25m) is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; it is indicated on the 1931 edition as an irregular-shaped subcircular enclosure, incorporated into field boundaries. A very slightly raised, subcircular area (24.5m N−S; 25.5m E−W) defined on the E half by intermittent remains of an earth and stone bank (Wth 0.9m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.4m, at SE), at S−W by remnants of a bank/scarp (Wth 1m; int. H 0.25m; ext. H 1-1.2m, at SW) adapted to serve as a field fence; and truncated at NW by a straight earth and stone field fence on a NE−SW axis. There is hint of a gap at SE, which might indicate an original entrance. The interior has low central raised spine on a NW−SE axis, from which there is a gentle fall of ground to E and a more marked slope to W.
